Friday, Friday, Friday!

Favorite Photo Friday

Hi Friends!

Well, here we are–Friday night. I’m not holding my breath for too much traffic on this site tonight seeing that most people are probably out having fun– maybe Halloween fun! I am having a bit of trouble finalizing a topic for Friday on my month long blogging project. So, I thought it would be fun (plus, I’ve ALWAYS wanted to do this) to create a poll! Please feel free to vote, actually, please vote, on a topic that you’d be interested in reading about on Fridays.

Seeing that this is the first time I’ve tried this tactic, I guess I will post the results next Friday when I finalize the topic..? (if all goes well, I suppose.)

Do you like my skull and cross bone background? — Trying to be festive for Halloween.

I’m excited to see the outcome of this poll! I really appreciate you taking the time to vote. While we are on the subject…You can vote again on Election day, this Tuesday in your home State! I’m not going to even make a peep about politics on this blog, but remember that it’s our right to vote! I hope you will join me on Tuesday by going to the polls!

Fantastic Friends

Just so I don’t leave you empty handed in case you are like me and home alone on a Friday night…

Here are two of my favorite pictures. The one at the beginning of this post is one of my best friends, Ashley Johnson. I truly believe that this picture is the start of something beautiful. It was our freshman year, spring semester. We are holding a few wild flowers that had most likely just bloomed. We had decided to take a hike with my brother and a few friends and are standing in a creek off of lake nichol in Tuscaloosa. At this point, our friendship had really just blossomed– I don’t know how I would have made it through that tough first year without her. Now, we’re going to be living across the country from one another in two very different professions. I have no doubt in my mind that we will always be friends.

The other picture reminds me of typical Friday nights in college. The girls, would usually go out to eat somewhere, or go shopping, or to a movie. This particular photo we all showed up at Logan’s Steak House, to celebrate our friend, Kelly Hawkins (ahh-first time I’ve written that last name!). She was moving back home to Madison, AL to pursue a degree and career as a dental assistant. The funny thing about this photo is that we all wore shades of purple, Kelly’s favorite color– without pre-planning. We shared memories of Kelly and what we loved about her. We talked about how much we were going to miss her– and oh, did we ever. I missed her spontaneous adventures (to krispy kreme), Monday night dinners, and hugs the most! (ha, does anyone remember the days you’d call your friends in middle school and plan to wear the same thing? Nicole Reddick- I know you do!)

Ah, how wonderful it is to have fantastic, fabulous friends.

Oh, how could I forget this little piece of exciting news!

I will officially be hitting up Atlanta, Georgia, for my four-week training with Verizon, beginning November 15th! Working World, Watch out– here I come!
